Mount Elizabeth Hospital is a private tertiary care hospital located in the heart of Singapore in Orchard road. Opened in 1979, the hospital has been operating for over 40 years providing high quality care to both local and international patients coming from abroad as medical tourists; from its opening date it underwent several renovations to both increase its size and to provide a better experience to its patients, visitors and staff. Mount Elizabeth Hospital has 345 in-patient beds including 8 VIP hospital suites. One Royal Suite was built in the hospital by the Royal Family of Brunei and is now also available for use by other patients.
Adjacent to the main hospital building is Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre (MEMC), which supports the hospital with a wide range of medical care facilities and with over 450 private medical specialist covering a multitude of medical specialties and sub-specialties.
