The Suporn Clinic is a private plastic and cosmetic surgery clinic led by Dr. Suporn Watanyusakul MD, specializing in sex reassignment surgeries (SRS), transgender surgeries and plastic/cosmetic surgery procedures. The clinic is located in Chonburi, about 80Km south-east of Bangkok, Thailand, and about 60Km north of Pattaya.
The clinic is one of the worldwide leading centers in Male-to-Female (MtF) gender reassignment surgery. Dr. Suporn opened his clinic in 1992 and in the year 2000 he developed and introduced a new proprietary technique for sex reassignment surgery which does not involve the standard penile inversion surgical technique. Dr. Suporn also developed a new forehead brow bossing reduction technique in the year 2003 which he has been using since depending on the case presentation.
Most of the patients coming to the Suporn Clinic are from the United States of America and from Europe with his primary clientele being male-to-female transgender women looking for sex reassignment surgery. Dr. Suporn Watanyusakul MD performed over 2500 male to female sex reassignment surgeries during his career on patients from 40+ nationalities. He also occasionally performs mammaplasties and vaginoplasties on cisgender women.
Since 2017, Dr. Suporn is gradually retiring from active surgical practice and is currently only performing some primary sex reassignment surgeries (SRS) and some of the facial feminization surgeries (FFS). He will keep doing surgeries at least until the end of 2020.
Since his retirement announcement made in May 2017, Dr. Suporn also introduced the concept of the Suporn Medical Team, a small number of elite plastic surgeons dedicated to producing the highest standard of surgery possible and using his own “Suporn Technique” for Sex Reassignment Surgery. These surgeons have been training, assisting and doing surgeries together with Dr. Suporn since the year 2017. As of today, Dr. Suporn considers their technique and surgical abilities identical to his own in each and every aspect, producing delightful results of the highest possible standards.

The Suporn Clinic is located within walking distance (about 200m) from the Chon Inter Hotel where patients are normally accommodated during their stay. The Suporn Clinic itself in Dr. Suporn’s view is an informal place, where patients can socialize, rest and find constant support and attention and the facilities within the clinic are available to all the patients, such as Wi-Fi, computers, DVD player and TV, library, comfortable armchairs, bar with soft drinks and more.
Within walking distance from both the Suporn Clinic and the Chon Inter Hotel there are several Thai and western style shops, restaurants, stores, supermarkets and some of the most famous fast-food chains such as McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, KFC and Swensons.
The Suporn Clinic consists of the Main Reception, consulting rooms for discussions with Dr Suporn and his medical team, a fully equipped operating theatre with recovery rooms and a large patient lounge in which patients can relax.
Aikchol Hospital Chonburi, Thailand
All major surgical operations and all those requiring general anesthesia are not carried out in the clinic, but in the nearby (about 3Km away) Aikchol Hospital in Chonburi, Thailand, by Dr. Suporn and his team. Aikchol Hospital is a private hospital with ISO9002 certification and Hospital Accreditation (HA) Standard as well as many other international awards and certifications, with a total of 262 beds. The Aikchol hospital has 6 fully equipped operating rooms with advanced medical technologies and clinics and departments in all branches of medicine. Dr. Suporn’s patients have private suites reserved for them on one of the upper floors, with windows overlooking the sea, en-suite private bathroom, refrigerator, phone, cable TV, air conditioning and a customizable meal plan. Friends, travel companions or family can stay with the patient in the suite at no additional cost other than the standard guest meal price (about 500 baht/day) or a 2-bedroom suite can be available at an additional cost of about 3,000 baht/night.
